Actron Engineering

Actron Engineering is a manufacturer of precision machined parts and assemblies primarily serving the aerospace and defense markets. Actron was founded in 1963 primarily as a sheet metal shop and has since evolved to offer a focused array of capabilities and services required for a sizeable segment of military defense programs. The increased level of value-added offerings has led the business to support an impressive number of the top aerospace and defense companies on multiple critical programs.  

In June 2025, Actron acquired Crabil Manufacturing, a St. Petersburg, FL-based AS9100 and ITAR certified CNC precision machining solutions provider focused on the aerospace and defense industries. The acquisition of Crabil provides additional capabilities and unique expertise in supporting complex, high precision machining applications. The combination with Actron enables both companies to better serve their existing customer base and to pursue new strategic customers and programs.

Kirtland's investment in Actron and partnership with the existing management team will support the continued growth of the business. The company will be exploring ways to add additional capabilities through strategic acquisitions and capital investments to enhance their offerings to existing customers and attract new ones.
